OVERVIEW
The replacement control unit Berger Lahr for tire cord fabric is an autonomous servomotor controller with high dynamic properties, which serves as both a material take-up and controls the weft density.
On the other hand, it also manages the weft color, the temple position, and optionally the loom speed.

RETROFITTING CONTROL UNIT BERGER LAHR
Spare parts for the existing Berger Lahr control units are no longer available, and repairs are either severely limited or impossible due to outdated components. To ensure the continued operation of the tyrecord machinery in the future, a replacement control unit has been developed in collaboration with the company SULZER, which serves as a modern and reliable solution.
The new control unit is based on the principles of the original Berger Lahr control unit, allowing seamless integration into existing systems. The existing wiring and connections can be directly linked to the new control unit without modifications, minimizing installation effort. Furthermore, the software structure has been adapted to retain the familiar functions of the old control unit. This ensures that the operation remains intuitive and familiar for long-time users.
