The efficient alternative for low weft density fabrics
Weaving from the creel with a warp feed unit offers an efficient alternative for low weft density fabrics, especially in applications where the warp beams are woven empty quickly.
Our products are ideal for weaving tyre cord fabrics, carbon fibre fabrics, wall-to-wall carpets, and geotextiles.
The greater yarn length available at the creel compared to the warp beams extends the machine running time and significantly improves the utilisation of the weaving machine.
We design and manufacture warp feed units for both narrow and wide weaving machines.
For wide weaving machines we offer several variants:
The warp feed unit can be mounted in either a low or high position on the weaving machine. Alternatively, the warp feed unit can be installed as a separate unit between the creel and the weaving machine.

For weaving machines with a nominal width of more than 190 cm and a separate warp feed unit, we also recommend a catwalk between the feed unit and the weaving machine. This catwalk makes it easier to repair warp breaks quickly and improves access to the reed, heald frames and warp stop motions.
The feed unit regulates the warp tension between the creel and the weaving machine. Changes to the warp tension do not require adjustment on the creel, as the feed roller feeds the warp material to the loom at the precisely set weaving tension.
A good quality creel is essential to ensure constant tension across the warp width. If the creel sequence is not optimal, even the best warp delivery system cannot fully compensate for tension fluctuations.
We work closely with creel manufacturers and can offer solutions in this area as well.
