Crealetter No. 14 Apr 2017

Welcome to the fourteenth issue of the Crealetter, our regular update with information and resources for professionals in the weaving and high-tech industries.

Today you gain insights into weaving high qualitiy carbon fiber fabrics, polypropylene-fabrics and innovative geosynthetics. Further, we look at two products for weaving jacquard selvedges for custom labeling.

Don’t forget to mark your calendar: From May 9 to 12 you can meet us at the Techtextil in Frankfurt.

With the very best regards,

Weaving Quality Carbon Fiber Fabrics

Carbon Fiber feeding

Carbon fiber composites not only reduce fuel efficiency due to reduced weight they also allow for more creative scope for engineers when searching for improved aerodynamic performance.

Carbon fibers are often woven from creel and therefore special attention should be given to the warp delivery unit between creel and weaving machine.

Labeling on Selvedges: Let-off and Warper

Selvedge Branding

In many cases people are emotion driven in their decisions. Therefore products have to interact with consumers through branding, design, logo and messaging. Weaving a brand name for example enhances the value of a fabric and helps preventing counterfeiting.

Electronic Jacquard machines – together with our Selvedge Thread Let-off CS2 – are particularly suitable for weaving-in custom labeling on selvedges and fabrics in a wide variety of applications.
